supporting valuable causes
Charity and Partnerships
Here at Spanish City, we are dedicated to supporting valuable causes through match, player and kit sponsorships, special events, fundraising activities, donations - and much more. With supporting local causes at the heart of everything we do, as well as selecting a local charity, national charity and a local team of the year, we also support other local charities and teams in a variety of ways.
Please read more about our selected charities and sponsorships below and, if possible, consider donating to their causes.

Tailored Leisure Company (TLC)
Tara Mackings BEM, Founder of multi-award-winning charity, Tailored Leisure Company (TLC) is set to take great strides for accessible fitness as she faces her biggest challenge yet – to walk over the finish line of the Great North Run.
Tara is at the helm of TLC, a charity renowned in the North East for their ethos and vision to overcome the barriers and social exclusion faced by disabled people, specifically in terms of access to fitness and leisure activities.
An extensive part of their vision is the development of an accessible short break and leisure service ‘The Butterfly of the North’ for individuals with disabilities and their families. The first stage of the accessible short break and leisure service came to fruition in 2022 when TLC collaborated with one of Britain’s leading family holiday companies Haven.
Through the collaboration families are able to enjoy a relaxing break in a fully accessible caravan at the site at Berwick Holiday Park, nestled on Northumberland’s breath-taking coastline. The next milestone is to raise £20,000 to continue to open the caravans’ doors for the next 12 months, with the support of sponsor Spanish City’s promising to double what is raised, allowing the charity to offer disabled people and their families a barrier free holiday for up to 20 families for free.
Tara believes we can all achieve our ability with the right support and invites you all to stand with her for changes in accessibility – please pledge your support.

Fisherman's Mission, local centre - North Shields
More than 13,000 people work in fishing: the UK’s toughest and most dangerous peacetime occupation. At sea, they face death and injury with an average of 15 fishermen killed or seriously injured every year. On land, many struggle with insecurity and debt. And for the 50,000 retired fishermen and their families, the fishing may have ended but the hardship continues as they face debt, scant savings, loneliness and isolation.
The Fishermen’s Mission reaches out to both active and retired fishermen by providing practical, spiritual and financial support – as well as a vital emergency response service.
