Spanish City is thrilled to announce its first-ever Comedy Night on Friday 14th October.  In association with Felt Nowt Comedy, a fantastic lineup has been put together for this evening.

The night will be hosted by compare Lee Kyle. The comedy line-up for this night consists of:
Zoe – Headliner – Tyne Theatre
Dave Johns – Headliner – ‘I, Daniel Blake’
Plus another act to be anounced shortly!

Doors Open at 8.00pm with seating on a first come first served basis.

(Over 18’s only)

Due to the nature of the night, this event is not for those who are easily offended.

Our lineup:

Dave Johns:

Dave is one of the most respected and best-loved comedians working on the British comedy circuit,  having performed extensively in UK comedy clubs, and comedy clubs and festivals worldwide for  3 decades.

“Shifting from hilarity to uproar to genius in the blink of an eye”.
(The Guardian)

Dave has appeared on the West End stage in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, alongside Christian Slater and performed in numerous plays at the Edinburgh Fringe.

2016 saw Dave play the lead role in Ken Loach’s critically acclaimed and multi award winning film “I, Daniel Blake” which won the much coveted Palme D’or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.

One of the most incredible live acts in the UK, Dog obsessed oddball Zoe will leave a lasting memory with everyone who sees her.
‘She had the room spellbound – and in gales of laughter. Zoe’s a fully-formed character, simultaneously naive and intense, complete with nervous guttural chortle that must have impressed the BBC bods.’ Chortle

Jack Fox:
Rapper and comedian Jack Fox has a commanding presence and strong consistent punchlines.

Lee Kyle:

Described by the BBC as a “top up-and-coming comedy performer“, Lee Kyle has spent much of his life on a never-ending quest to never have a proper job.

He was in an all-male Spice Girls tribute act before spending a decade as a professional wrestler and then trying his hand at stand-up.

Managing the difficult trick of being both odd and relatable, his jokes veer between the clever and the silly and deliver more than their fair share of belly laughs.

“Quirky and original – the highlight of the night” – Giggle Beats

“Very funny” – Manchester Evening News

“Had everyone on their feet – Sublimely ridiculous.” – Northern Echo
