If you’re looking for an evening of light-hearted fun and laughter, join us for our Comedy Night on Wednesday 20th December. In association with Felt Nowt Comedy, a fantastic lineup has been put together for this evening:
Host: Lee Kyle
Described by the BBC as a “top up-and-coming comedy performer”, Lee Kyle has spent much of his life on a never-ending quest never to have a proper job.
He was in an all-male Spice Girls tribute act before spending a decade as a professional wrestler and then trying his hand at stand-up.
Managing the difficult trick of being both odd and relatable, his jokes veer between the clever and the silly and deliver more than their fair share of belly laughs.
Raul Kohli:
Raul Kohli has fast become one of the most captivating acts in UK comedy. As one of the few Asians to have grown up in the far north of England (Newcastle Upon Tyne) he’s blessed with a Worldview that upends ethnicity, culture and class. Combining ‘Superb political comedy’ (The Scotsman) with surreal storytelling.
Mike Milligan:
Mike Milligan used to earn his keep as a teacher in Newcastle and so he knows a thing or two about ‘audience interaction’. However, he quickly found classrooms weren’t the best place to share his sharp, witty banter! Now firmly established as a top stand-up comedian, his teaching days are on summer vacation indefinitely. As a native Geordie, he has that natural, down-to-earth and lovable warmth in abundance and you can’t help but like him. Safe to say you’ll love his comedy as much as you love him.
